It’s definitely a bit ironic! Cats, with their reputation for independence and nonchalance, probably wouldn’t be too interested in playing a game about themselves if they were human. But from a human perspective, there’s something charmingly meta about it. It’s like they’re indulging in a caricature of their own behavior without even knowing it. Plus, it’s just plain adorable to watch them swat at virtual mice or pounce on digital toys (like the video below of our then beloved cat, Minos and Iron too).
Both cats (or dogs) and kids benefit from play, but they thrive in different ways based on their respective needs and characteristics.
